Uncle Boonmee awaits his death in the jungles of Thailand when he is surprised by two unexpected visitors: the ghost of his dead wife and a disturbing creature. While he meditates on the reasons for his illness, Boonmee goes through the jungle with his family to reach a cave on the top of a hill, the place where he was born on his first life.
