Fire at the sea, directed by Gianfraco Rosi, is now in competition to represent Italy in the 2017 Oscars. The 2 categories in which it is competing are: Best Foreign Movie and Best Documentary. Nominations will be announced on January 24th and the ceremony will be on february 26th.
